Timing Is Key

Timing Is Key

In most situations I have found that preparation is a critical element in landing a job, closing a deal, presentations and many other instances.  It pays off in both the short and long run to know your stuff. Through many of these situations I have also found that timing is just as critical, if not the only thing that matters most.

To be successful, one must allocate time to each item listed on their calendar and follow it! Planning is only effective if you’re able to dedicate duration towards your tasks.

Reasons why timing is key:

1.     You can accomplish more with less efforts
2.     Decision making gets better
3.     Work quality is higher
4.     Reduces stress
5.     Makes room for more knowledge
6.     Creates discipline
7.     Ultimately makes you more successful

Time management has helped me with knowing when to move. Although I’ve experienced selling at the right time before, more recently I was trading consumer goods. I was approached by a potential buyer who wanted to buy the products I was offering for about a 100% profit to my initial investment, excited about their proposition and readiness to buy, I almost sold myself short.

I decided not to sell at the time due to covering my obligations I had with some interest I received from other interests.  Thereafter another potential buyer who was willing to pay what would give me a profit of 500% approached me!

To wrap this all up, time is an essential element to include in your planning, as it helps to balance out your personal and business life. Even though time management may normally only be considered in terms of early preparation and decision making, being able to use time to also know when its right to move and even to wait is critical to success.
